FITG Athlete - Alden Mills

We are honored to have Alden Mills, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of Perfect Fitness (www.perfectonline.com), inventor of the Perfect Pushup, former Navy SEAL officer, a damn good friend, and FITG wear tester, take the first spot on this board.

Alden had set a goal of summiting a mountain over 14,000 feet before he turned 40.  As a busy executive at the helm of a fast growing fitness company and father of four children, it was hard to find time to squeeze in the training required, let alone break free to climb a mountain over a five day weekend.  A spot on a four-man team to climb Mt. Whitney’s mountaineer route (yes, the hardest route) opened up and Alden got the call to join the team with less than a month’s notice. With little training, rental equipment and a FITG Nordic I prototype shirt as his base layer, Alden made it to the summit.  It was not easy as he lost a few toenails, but he reached his goal and pursued the extraordinary!

"When my swim buddy from SEAL Team sent me these shirts and dared me to wear them until they stink, I couldn't refuse the challenge, especially not from a fellow teammate...so I literally wore it 24hrs a day for 5 days while I hiked the mountaineers route of Mt Whitney (highest peak in the lower 48). I made it to the top but I lost Tim's challenge – not only could I not make this shirt stink but I never worn one more comfortable shirt - ever. Best damn shirt I've ever owned period!" – Alden Mills
